The Theatre Royal in Plymouth are looking for international young people to be involved in a great new piece of community theatre, called 18.

The production will explore the lives of a selection of young people from across the globe.

18 uses coming of age stories as a starting point for exploring difference, to build bridges and promote cultural understanding. 18 will work with young people aged 18-25, the Young Company and international and migrant communities resident in Plymouth including students based at Plymouth University. It will culminate in 4 performances in April 2016.

After project recruitment we will have workshops, research visits, and story collection. In January 2016 the company will work twice a week with a director to devise a promenade performance that celebrates difference about the adult threshold age of 18.

18 will provide multiple opportunities for cultural exchange.

We are looking for a group of diverse people to work with Lee Hart to create and perform this new play, which will have a strong musical element to it.

You can find more information, audition and rehearsal schedules and an application form here.
